If you are a New Client here’s what to expect:
Psychotherapy
Your first session is a 90-minute intake assessment with your therapist. In this session, you and your therapist will work on building a therapeutic relationship which includes addressing your concerns and reasons for seeking help from a professional, helping your therapist gain a better understanding of what ails you, and learning more about your therapist and the therapy process. In your first two to three sessions, you will work together with your therapist on developing a wellness plan that is unique to only you.
Follow-up sessions are then scheduled so that you and your therapist can work together towards achieving the goals and objectives of your unique wellness plan. Weekly sessions are typically recommended in order to achieve consistent growth and progress in therapy. Longer breaks between sessions mean that growth and progress may slow down, and you may feel as if you are not getting much closer to where you want to be. Since there are several reasons long breaks may occur between sessions, it is a good idea to have a conversation with your therapist to iron out any details and work on a schedule together.
Hypnotherapy
Your first session is a 90-minute intake assessment with your therapist. In this session, you and your therapist will work on building a therapeutic relationship, assessing key triggers, and discussing your outlook and expectations for hypnotherapy. Follow-up sessions are then scheduled for hypnotic guidance and therapeutic processing. Consecutive weekly sessions are typically recommended in order to achieve desired progress with hypnosis. Results can be seen in as early as three to six consecutive sessions. Since everyone is different, your therapist will assess your specific needs for hypnotherapy and create a plan based on this. As with psychotherapy, long breaks between sessions mean that results may be inconsistent, and you may feel as if you are not getting much closer to where you want to be. Since there are several reasons long breaks may occur between sessions, it is a good idea to have a conversation with your therapist to iron out any details and work on a schedule together.
